Re: gas range

First I would check and make sure the gas shut off (at wall) is turned all the way on. If that doesnt work you may have something clogging the gas line or gas valve may need replacing. goodluck

Dog very disturbed by new oven being turned on. No discernile noise to humans. Any ideas?

is the range electric? if you have an electric stove your dog may be hearing high frequencies that are inaudible to humans. If it is a gas stove it could still be making high pitch sounds as the gas flows through small pilot holes to stove top. If it is electric there is not much you can do besides not using it or getting another. on a gas stove you could try increasing or decreasing the amount of gas flow from the valve on wall. or have a service tech take a look for you.

My oven stops heating when we cook on the burners. Even if I have had the oven in use prior and heated to desired temp, prior to using my burners.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

you have a gas flow issue, this can be caused from low gas pressure in the home, or a defective gas regulator on the range itself.

My amana oven wont heat properly, long cook times,

Theres probably an adjustable gas valve on it. You should also know the igniter and gas valve being wired in series makes it sensitive to current flow so the igniter could be the problem. Low current flow would not allow the valve to fully open.

Frigidaire gas stove/range heating problem

it might just need a good cleaning sometime dust and soot builds up and needs cleaned out of the burners but you can check the thermomitter with a multimeter ohms test if current flows through it

Low Heat from GE XL44 gas range

you can increase the sides of the flames by opening the orifices, if not differences. make the orifices holes a bit bigger, you can have as big of a flame as you want. those orifices are at the connection of the burner with the valve that supplies gas to the burners.
