Question about Audio Players & Recorders
Polaroid Freescape MPU 043315B - it has locked into trying to renew its database forever, after I have deleted some music folders, but forgot to remove 'albums' related to those folders. I want to open it, extract the hard drive and correct the problem via PC. The problem is that I am unsure how to disassemble it without breaking it. It is hold together 2 bolts and by many plastic fixtures inside. I removed the bolts, but only 2 of these plastic thingies are accessible. Can anyone tell me how to disassemble this particular player?? Please??
It sounds like your database is corrupt. Here's something to try. While the device is booting, press the pause/play button several times (about once per second). If you hit the pause/play at the right time during the boot process, it will invoke a debug menu that will allow you to format the disk. Format the disk and see if that resolves the problem.
Let me know if this does not work.
