There is a seperate relay for the fan motor - switching fan on thermostat from auto to on will help locate relay - on newer units the fan is on time delay on - still a relay problem

How to trouble shoot heat/ a/c fan switch.

Will your blower fan kick on in the medium position by chance? Med/ med high..if it is a 4 position switch, does it operate in the number 3 position? If so it is probably your blower motor resistor. If not, I would test the blower motor itself. Since the compressor kicks on when you turn the fan on, I would think the switch is working.

Blower fan not working.

Possible speed control is open circuit or the fan motor. Check you have supply to the switch/motor.

When I turn on my heat or air, nothing happens. There is a slight hint of heat or AC coming out of the vents when I have it set at 4. It will occasionally work, if I hit a bump just right, and it kicks...

If I'm reading this correctly- your blower isnt working? the fan doesn't blow? If the blower comes on over hard bumps, probably the blower motor is bad. More common is blower resistor, but try to find motor & bang on it while switched on...if it comes on, the motor is bad.

ACblower working great except made a little raquet sometimes but would usually quite.Cut car off when returned to crank car again no air though vents.Compressor still kicking on like should.Fan just gave...

It ispossible that the filter is choked and the blower fan is choked. Occasionally the fan is getting struck with the dirt.
So you might have to remvoe the dash and access the blower fan , clean the filter and the cooling pipes to get your AC more efficient and less noisier.
The filter cleaning must be done occasionally, specially if you are driving with windows down as ddirt will accumulate into the filter.
so check this out.

RV A/C blower not working and keeps kicking out

If blower not working, and yoou hear a slight "Hum" with fan only on, try this. With power off to AC. Go up on roof, and slide a stick through opening on side near rear, and try to get to fan blades at rear of unit. try to spin the blades a few times, even if it only goes a little at a time. Unless you want to take all those screws out & remove cover to get at it better, but watch for wasps under there. Give fan a couple of full rotations, then have someone turn it on to fan only & see what happens. If fan finally works, let it run for a few minutes on fan, then try cool & see if it all comes together again. Let me know.

Kenmore a/c window unit fan not kicking on with compressor.

Likely a bad motor, when this occurs verify the board is sending voltage to the motor.

Inside blower not starting every time

That's a weird problem. I wonder if the outside compressor is drawing down the voltage in the breaker box enuff to keep the blower from starting up. If you're set to cool but the thermostat is NOT calling for the AC, can you manually turn the blower on fathfully? If so, I would check all wiring connections in the breaker box to make sure they are tight and free from tarnish or corrosion. You may even need to contact your power company and have a higher amperage line installed outside. Do your house lights blink noticably when the compressor kicks on?

While you're resolving this, you could start the blower manually and just leave it on. The compressor cycling on/off shouldn't stop the blower once it's running and it won't draw much current... couple bucks a month maybe.

Hope that helps...
