Question about SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro SDCZ62048A10 Hard Drive
No..there's actually two possible solutions you can try if your storage drive appears to be corrupted on your system.
First, try it on another system, preferrably one that runs with XP. It might be able to let you read and open your drive's content there. I've got some issues getting my SanDisk Cruzer Micro (and another) to work on Vista, but they work fine on my laptop running on Windows XP.
If this does not work, it may be time to try some of the available 'file recovery' softwares. There are many on the internet that you can search for. Easeus.com may be a good one to consider. Look for a file recovery software that works for flash drives. Although your system cannot automatically read your drive's content when you plug it in, such softwares could help you with recovering those files and folders. Good luck!

Im sorry to say from what you have said that it sounds like the flash storage is corrupt. You could try it on someone elses computer just to be sure but it should work if others do.
If you still have your receipt and it's less than a year old take it back the shop..
hope this is some help
