Problem with the HP LaserJet 4730mfp All-In-One Printer Unable to use ADF. Red light under start button.

Do the calibration for the scanner.

1. Place letter- or A4-size paper in tray 1, and adjust the side guides.
2. On the control-panel Home screen, scroll to and touch Administration.
3. Touch Troubleshooting.
4. Touch Calibrate Scanner.
5. Touch Calibrate to print the first pass of the calibration target(Print out).
6. Place the first pass of the calibration target face-down in tray 1 so that the arrows are facing into the MFP.
7. Touch Start to print the second pass.
8. Place the calibration target face-up into the ADF, and adjust the side guides.
9. After the calibration target has passed through the ADF once, reposition it face down in the ADF and touch Start.
10. Place the calibration target face-down on the scanner glass, touch Start, and scan the page.
After this pass, the calibration is complete.
Calibration will fails if print quality is not good...ensure that print quality must be in order..
Once calibration successfully done, restart printer several times & verify start button light, if its green every time 'u' re success. if not cleaning required for CCD which is major work & not suggestable..

Hi! The touch screen on my Garmin nuvi 660 is not working. On boot up I can't get past the reminder to update map data screen. I have updated the unit software and tried to recalibrate the screen. As is...

Try to remove the battery and re insert it back in to see if it will work. Or hold down the power on/off for about 15 seconds, that should do the job.

If that does not do it, then calibrate the screen, to calibrate the screen, screen calibration do not just work once you do it, you have to do it over time for it to work. Ensure you are calibrating properly. These are the proper steps to follow when trying to calibrate the screen:
  1. Turn off your nuvi,
  2. Press your finger on the upper left corner of the touch screen,
  3. While holding your finger on the touch screen, turn on the nuvi.
  4. Continue to hold your finger on the screen for about 30 seconds until the calibration screen appears(white screen with touch dot),
  5. Then follow the on screen instructions.
Try this repeatedly till you get it to work. If it does not work, then it means there is an internal problem that need to be checked by a repairman. That should do the job for you.
hope this helps.

My touch screen doesn't work. i tried to calibrate it but it doesn't even go into calibration screen. please let me know how i can fix it. thank you

Since the touch screen is not working, what you have to do is to reset the device. To reset the device, turn it off and on to see if it does the job. If that does not do the job, then hold down the power off/on button for about 10 seconds, the device restarts, that way it should work, but if it does not still work, the only solution is for you to jeep calibrating the screen continuously till you get it done.
The proper process to calibrate your screen is for you to:
  1. Turn off your nuvi,
  2. press your finger on the upper left corner of the screen (that is before powering on),
  3. While holding your finger on the touch screen, turn on the nuvi,
  4. Continue to hold on to the touch screen with your finger for about 30 seconds or more till the white calibration screen comes on(white screen with touch dot),
  5. Then follow the on screen information.
Try it several times till you get it to work. It does not just work the moment you try it, you have to try it over and over again.

P990i touch screen not possible to calibrate

First, upgrade the software of the phone. After the upgrade, the setup wizard appears; complete it, and start it again from "Control panel", "Other", "setup wizard": now, just press the next button until 1 2 3 4 appears in the screen: don't select anything else, just the next button, or the calibration screen would not appear.

My TX's Top Left quadrant of the touch screen has lost "sensitivity" but generally the whole screen is out of calibration.

have you tried using the built in calibration function on your phone? calibrate it again and again untill you can touch each point just once. if this doesnt work you may have damaged that part of the digitizer and you will have to replace the screen.

Motorola 1200

Have you tried calibration? (All menu>setup>screen calibration)
Do you use screen guard? If it is dirty then touch screen may not work.
Sometimes a simple restart may also solve the problem.

Calibration of my MobilePro off

We've put together some useful tips on calibrating your MobilePro * When calibrating your touch screen be sure to use the same amount of pressure that you apply during normal use. In general, the lighter the better. This allows the screen to recognize taps consistently. * When calibrating your touch screen hold the stylus over the calibration point until it moves to the next point. Holding it for this period will lead to greater accuracy than just tapping the spot quickly. * When calibrating your touch screen support the screen from the back with your other hand. Try not to grasp the screen from the side with your thumb on the front. * When calibrating your touch screen do not let anything other that the stylus accidentally touch the screen. For example, don't rest part of your hand on the screen to help steady the stylus. * Once you've completed the stylus calibration, be sure to perform the double tap calibration as well. This will ensure greater accuracy.
