Erasing music from mp3 player

get pc with usb 2.0 port, and at least win 2000 professional on it
get mp3 player
get install cd for mp3 player (if you have one)

boot up, plug in player, wait for recognition by win2K or above, then treat as if it was an usb-stick or
external harddisk: erase the files you want or format it all to have it blank, copy new files

if not, run hardware detection via device manager, if windows does detect unknown device,
let it find driver from the hardddisk or win setup-cd/dvd, install, try to find as harddisk

or run install from mp3-related cd, choose the right driver fitting your operation system, install
remove mp3-player, reboot, repug, win should now find it automatically!

now erase the music files(mp3's) on your player and/or copy new ones, unplug,

put in fresh battery and enjoy!

Samsung K3 mp3 player

To erase a music file, you must plug the K3 into the computer, and when a window pops up that says "Open in Folder", "Open with Media Player", etc. Choose "Open in Folder" then go to "Internal Storage", then choose "Music". From there, you can delete by artist, or if you click on a folder that has an artist's name for the title, you can erase by album. From there you can erase by track by double clicking on an album folder.
To erase, right click the folder you wish to delete, and select "Delete".

Onyx 1640 shows connection but no audio recorded.

Sometimes Windows XP will seem to "forget" that you have Mackie drivers. In such cases you need to go into Hardware Manager, uninstall the drivers, then press F5 to check for hardware changes. It will find the drivers again and take you through the installation process. Sometimes this "forgetting" seems to be triggered by the order in which you turn on the computer and board. It seems that for the first version of the Onyx drivers I had to turn the board on first, then the computer. I have updated my Onyx drivers and now it seems that I must turn on the board after XP is loaded and ready to go. Otherwise Windows can't "see" that the board is attached and thus Sonar or whatever won't be able to record. Sometimes when this happens I can turn the board off and back on, then Windows sees it. However, when that fails I uninstall and reinstall the drivers as I described earlier and it always solves the problem.

Help me

According to the user manual for the MA933ASC, if you're not using Windows 98, the player should be recognized as a removable drive if you plug it into the USB port on your computer.

To erase your songs, connect the player. Open "My Computer", and find it listed as something such as "Generic Removable Disk", maybe drive G:\ or so seems to be popular in Windows. Once you're browsing the files on the player, you can delete them as you would any other file on your computer.

Hope this helps, for more information you can find the manual for your player online here.
