Question about PC Chips M825G Motherboard

1 Answer

I can't install a cpu heat sync because my mobo does'nt have the white square where you put the cpu and clip the heat symc. My Mobo has onboard amd Athlon, the only way to instal a cpu heatsync is with screws on the side, but i don't find any heatsyncs with screws .

CPU fan & PSU fan working but No display coming to the screen

There should be some sort of beeps then. No beeps is an indication the CPU or RAM is not seated properly. You need to refer to board manual if there are beeps.
There is also the matter of... Never mind I just noticed the CPU is an 8 core CPU, but the board supports quad core.

Msi 870-g45 failing to POST?

hi, i had a similar issue some time ago, dependng on your hardware i would suggest you look into a psu tester, or swap it out for a friend's psu, i assume you've ripped everything apart and put it back together to see if some dust was shorting somewhere, is it related to heat maybe, expansion of cracking can sometimes occur in computers that have gotten hot in the past, especially in the circuitry behind the cpu.

Good luck

Installed a n68s mobo with a amd x2 550 CPU. Every turns o n except VGA mouse and keyboard

You should have a disk that came with the mobo. You will need to install the drivers for all of the onboard devices to function properly. If you have already done this, You will need to access th BIOS Setup utility (usually by pressing the F1 key while booting, although your mobo may use a different key) and make sure that you have all of the devices enabled in the setup. This should solve your troubles!

Maybe a silly question to ask; but did you connect the processor power lead, as unlike some processors this needs a seperate supply.
