Well i would suspect rusty water heater, best thing to do is trace back the water line and find out where it's clear and when it turns color.

Discolored copper hue inside

A copper discoloration is usually caused from iron in the water. One way to help would be to use a water softener with the green bag of salt. The green bag of salt helps with iron content.

It doesn't clean well I have bought rinse lemishine and it doesn't clean dishes and leaves a white residue I'm using cascade

Hi

White film deposits are observed if water is hard or when you are using more detergent than needed, try filling detergent cup half way. Try using white vinegar after the wash cycle is complete, run a complete cycle. Also turn down the heat on the hot water fed to the dishwasher. Try using water softener for better results.
You can also add vinegar in the final rinse cycle. Make sure that your soap dispenser drawer is opening and closing fine.

Hope this helps... Please post back if more information is required.

Dishes aren't clean when they come out of the dishwasher. There is this whitish film on them. We use Cascade and Jetdry everytime.

The dishes don't come out clean and there is a whitish film on all the dishes. I'm using the heavy cycle and only dry cascade detergent as suggested.

it's either:
  • too much detergent used, try using less
  • too much or too little rinse aid liquid used. Adjust, test, repeat ;)
  • problem with water softener if you have one. get it serviced.
  • water is too hard and you don't have a water softener, check water hardness and install water softener if necessary
Hope this helps,

Glassware comes out cloudy and not clean

This problem occurs due to excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher. Try cleaning you dishwasher using a dishwasher cleaner. There are a few out there.

Dishwasher magic is a very good Dishwasher cleaner.

I would also recommend checking the water temp. it should be about a
120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.

There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.
