I have a 1988 FWD truck mounted 150S Condor aerial lift, and the Hydraulic hose in the column blew off the crimped connection, why would it do that and how do I get at the connection at the top end? Is there shop manuals available for this unit? Thanks. Linden. lindenh@shaw.ca

I will check with one of the dealers, but, I was hoping for a step by step solution. I'll try to let you know!!! I'm surprised at the reason for the hose to pop off, because I never added oil to the reservoir and I've used this unit for the past 6 months or so!!!!

Thanks, I may have other questions about this unit.

Cant help you with a workshop manual Linden, but overfilling the hydraulic reservois will cause it to blow off under strain. Usually the top connection is under a removable plate that can be accessed for service and replacement.

Try contacting the agent for the lift system to see if they can supply you one or at least tell you how to access and remove the hose.

This is the only raven manual I have

Hi Linden,l Thanks for the feedback.

Well the only other reason to pop a hose that i know of is if it was crimped at a weak point in the hose. This is rare but i have had it happen on a FEL Massy Ferguson on two remotes. A bad batch of hose was used to replace two essential lifters and both blew after a few months. Maybe this is what has happened to you, an accident waiting in the wings.

We place too much faith in RAMS and hoses, That's one reason I won;t go on those show rides, most are relying onj a simple seal to hold them upside down and spin their brains out

How do i replace the clutch cylinder on my 2002 chevy s10 extreem

loosen the hydraulic hose at the end of the cylinder . undo the mounting bolts and lift the cylinder clear . unscrew the hose out of the end of the cylinder . lift out. Replacement is the opposite but before you mount the cylinder make sure that the push rod is inserted back into the cylinder.. Fit he bolts and tension up tighten the hose . You should have screwed it in properly before mounting the cylinder and now it is just a matter of tightening it up. refill the master cylinder with fluid and with the help of a friend proceed to bleed out the air . Keep pumping and bleeding until you have a firm clutch pedal.

I have a 97 olds 88 how do I change the ignition switch with diagram

up under dash, mounted basically on the side of the steering column

2 screws hold it to the column. sometimes easier to remove the nuts holding column up to dash, lower column down some till wheel on seat.

You remove the 2 small bolts holding switch to column, then there is a rod in the back for the key. Lift switch off rod, Alig new switch back on rod and mount new switch back on the column

It is adjustable to need to eb 100% you have it adjusted so it does NOT start in reverse or any other gear. Only park and neutral

Motor mount, front right, solid or hydraulic?

Hello wrygrl...The OEM (orginal equipment) passenger side motor mount for the 1988 olds ninety-eight was a hydraulic type. After market "solid" type mounts are available for replacement...either type will work. Shop around and get some price quotes, i believe westar makes a solid type mount that sells for around 22 bucks.
Hope this answers your question. Have a safe and happy memorial day weekend.

High pressure hose connection blew up. Fix? or buy new?

Yes take it to napa auto parts and they can cut and attach a new end which are for hydraulics. They are crimped on and meant to hold very very high pressure. I used to use a pressure washer everyday for a living and it was a tractor rental/repair shop and we used the hydraulic fitting machine on the power washer hose all the time so rest assured.

Heater core

18901fc.gifHere is an exploded view of the heating/air conditioning blower box. This contraption is located on the passengerside under the dash. I've changed heater cores on other cars but never worked on a caravan so not sure how difficult it'll be. You may need to remove a few cover panels to access this and the heater core #22 is located behind the distribution box #6 containing parts 7-18 and hopefully comes off as a unit. I wouldn't want to put it back together just looking at the pic. You may just need to remove the heater tube cover #4 to access the connections and slide out the core.....NAH couldn't be that simple!!! Hope this was of some help. Good luck.
