Anyone know the correct battery for a Gianni Sabatini NGS 589? The original was lost by a distinctly unpleasant jeweller whilst changing the original. The only other marking on the back is RC, inscribed...

I suggest you find a more reliable jewller and ask them to find one that fits.

While there are a number of batteries, anyone who specialises in replacing batteries should have a full range of replacements and should be able to fin one that fits.

As they are all the same voltage, it is only a case of finding one that fits - this is not very technical and should be achievable by trial and error.

What is the dial around the crown?

mcdevito75 here, That dial is used mainly on Divers watches for Divers, by setting this dial, you can tell how much air time tanks that divers use have in them. It"s main purpose though is to hold the crystal asssembly to the watch case. A specialized manual can tell how to use this outer dial, it can be used as a measure of distance and time.

I just purchased my son a Seiko Divers Automatic 200M watch for graduation. For the first few days, the watch worked, but ran about 15-20 minutes fast. Now it won't move at all? Tried wearing it for 8...

Hi mtrahan99. My advice is to take it back and get it replaced, particularly if you have only had it a few days. If they won't exchange it or refund you, get a repair under the guarantee. Automatic watches (and Seiko actually make some very good ones) don't need to be worn all the time to wind them, and the fact that it ran so fast and has now stopped would indicate something major like problems with the mainspring. Return it! Hope this helps; Eagle58
