hi there,
please unplug new harddrive and see if computer boots up without it.
if it does list all the other cd/dvd drives, then you did someth. wrong upon installing the new drive.hook up again, see the jumper settings in the back(must be set to single ) if attached to 1st IDE-channel, else if you hook it up to a cd-drive, set jumper on cd to master, onharddisk to slave, check power connection, reassemble pc, boot up.
Got a screen now? hdd should belisted! now insert windows installation cd and proceed...

if system still does not recognize the drive, then enter BIOS(press F2 or Del or F1 during booting)set all drive detection to automatic, leave saving BIOS-settings, press F10), reboot.
