SOURCE: 16 gig ipod nano screen has frozen screen

Try doing this: Toggle the hold switch and put it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple symbol should come up on the screen. Then it should work like normal. Hope this helps!

1. If you have enabled AutoSync, everytime the iPod is connected, the iPod will sync all your files. It is not only the songs that are copied. It also copies the videos, photos and contacts too. Maybe it was trying to sync them.

2. Even if it had really done with sync of all songs, video, photos and contacts, it will always show the message "Do not disconnect". What you will have to do is click on the eject button in the iPod icon which appears in iTunes. The iPod will be ejected only when you eject it from the iTunes.

While charging ipod on pc songs are no longer on IPOD

When your iPod is connected and brings up itunes, make sure that you have selected the songs you want from the library where they should be saved and dragged them into your playlist folder (located on the left side of the itunes screen). Then disconnect properly using the eject button, also on the left side of the itunes screen.

My ipod isn't working

You should try to reset the firmware by pressing on the menu button and the enter(center) button at the same time for couple seconds until the apple appears on the screen
reconnect your ipod and with itunes try for any firmware updates
once it's done disconnect your ipod with itunes and after that with the windows option in the taskbar.
Good luck

This screen will not move on Do not disconnect, after it was connected to computer using windows vista

if it shows this you must eject the ipod first...click on the little eject button beside your ipod in iTunes, or, go into my computer (in Windows), right click on your ipod icon, and click eject..hope this helps
it might also show up as an icon in your system tray (bottom right corner of your screen if you are running windows). It should say something like "click here to eject usb drive"..

Charging ipod 4gb

Yes, the iPod will show that it is charging on its screen. Disconnecting without ejecting can cause data loss of whatever is stored on the iPod
Ejecting is when you remove the iPod from the desktop by dragging its icon to the trash or clicking on the down arrow next to the iPods name from within iTunes.

If you use the library computer, usually a Windows based OS, you'll need to click on the iPod icon from the task tray on the lower right of the screen. You can right click to select the remove option
