Question about Apple MA590LLA Mac Desktop
This has happened in the past but a reboot would always fix the problem.
it starts with items getting bigger and bigger as though I was using the magnifier tool.
after three reboots, the desktop items are still huge but not getting bigger and the desktop moves around with the mouse.
I have to move the desktop around in order to see folders and apps.
please help, this is very frustrating.
More info would help: Mac model, devices connected, OS version.
I would try another keyboard, and also zap the PRAM (boot up, hold P,R, OPT, CMD keys together till chime...hold down so chime heard two restart times, then let go).
A known good mouse and keyboard is a must, and make sure nothing else is plugged into Mac incase a device is causing this.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

What you have done is accidently magnified your screen slightly. To correct this hold down your ctrl key and scroll down on your mouse, this should fix it. Hope this helps.

First off, would it be possible for you to give us a little more detail on the problem, such as, does the finder open? is your dock onscreen? does your wallpaper appear?
As far as i can see, your best bet woud be to reboot your imac with the OSX disk in. Then boot your computer and before you hear the chime hold down the C key on your keyboard. this will boot from the disk. Once it has loaded, select your language, and then go to the utilities menu at the top and find disk utility. open it and run repair disk and repair permissions.
after this, shut down and take the disk out and reboot as normal. Any change?
Hope this helps, let me know if not.
