Where are you getting the FP from? If it is a third party software, the resulting Flight Plan must have a .pln extension to the file. If it is a FP from within FSX, you set up the plan, then tell it to load it, then you can save it okay.

Computer crashed now formatted with vista home and trying to reinstall flight sim X but it keeps coming with this message microsoft flight simulator x scenery world texture 024C2 Sul.BMP

FAT32. The File System used by Win98SE that has no security like NTFS file/user permissions. The lack of FAT32 security may be your answer to a lot of problems with FSX. Mine was a license issue + couldn't install ACCELERATOR pack. Windows 7 offers all the tools to create a FAT32 from available space from your C drive. ControlPanel>>AdminTools>>ComputerManagement>>Storage>>DiskManagement. Right Click on Drive C and click "shrink volume". Set shrink size to just under 32 GIGABYTES. Then format it as FAT32, Reinstall FSX into the FAT32 partition and ENJOY!!!. The install may take almost 2 hours so just let it sit. This (installing into) FAT32 thing will solve so many issues. In NTFS, if security on one file it tries to access - fails or a service FSX needs to run fails THE APP WILL FAIL!!!!

My computer will not recognise FSx.

Some parts of FSX remain in the registry and some other files it uses are shared. The easy way to sort this is to get a good quality registry cleaner, and you will be away.

FSX = ****!

It sounds like a RAM issue. FSX needs a minimum of a dual core processor, a good quality graphics card (512Mb min) and 4Mb ram. The "not responding" is caused by the PC having to try to get a large amount of data into a small amount of ram, or the processor is struggling to cope.

Unable to find fsx in windows registery unable to complete flight deck5 setup

Have you searched the registry using CTRL + F and typing in FSX or Microsoft? This should find all entries. If not, then FSX is not installed properly and you need to uninstall FSX, reboot and re-install. Good luck with it.

Fsx Icon will not save on my desktop

You need to go the FSX directory, find FSX.exe, right-click this icon and drag it to the desktop, release the mouse button and choose "create shortcut here" from the fly-out menu. This will create a proper icon for you.

I been trying to fly i have just sat two hours waiting on the fsx trial version to get done saving what do i do next. also i wannna know how do i fly besides filling out a flight plan.

The trial version is what it is - a trial. MS are not going to allow you to play like the wind when you haven't paid for it. It is the best sim out there, and worth the money. As for flying, it would take more than this forum to teach you that. Try some of the forums like Mycockpit.com for further help and info. FSX does have training aids built in, so try them too.

Flight Sim X fails to load at statup

Check your video card and its drivers are up to date and not corrupted. Might be worth downloading new drivers. Basically after the menu screen the sim enters Direct3D mode and if there is a video driver problem, this is where it will pop up and start causing problems.

Using Pro Flight Yoke, etc. in fsx

To keep the settings in FSX you must got to the main page, choose settings, create your settings then save the configuration file with a name, ie "myconfig.cfg" or something you will recognise,

Don't try to do the settings from within the game from the top menus as they are not saved this way. Exit the game back to the start screen and do your settings from there, This will fix it. Good luck.
