Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Could be...but first, make sure you select full format and not quick format during setup. You can also try formatting using another machine by connecting the hard drive as a removable device.

Hope it helps.

I CONNECTED THE EXTERNAL HD (HDS5C3015ALA632) UNDER WIN XP, NO PROBLEMS. THEN I CONNECTED TO ANOTHER PC WITH WIN 7, PC DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE HD AND ASKS TO FORMAT IT. JEAN FRANCOIS BELGIUM

It is because your computer which is windows xp is not able to be updated to windows seven. And when you format it you will loose everything xp. But then you can put everything windows seven on it.

I lost remote is there away to manually change tv black panels back to full screen like the aspect button without a remote? the tv is a hitachi 51f500

Unfortunately, most of these projection TV's require a remote. You CAN purchase an aftermarket remote. I would look for one that has all the features you need, PIP, screen format etc.... I have found that the Sony RM-VL600 works real well with my Mitsubishi TV... kids thrashed the remotes more than once...

There is a mode switch within the deck assembly that is probably dirty but not cleanable. I haven't repaired one of those for some years and am sure spares are no longer available for it. The 58 is V8 format and should be OK but may show similar symptoms due to age, in the future.

Playing VHS tapes from Belgium?

Yes, having invented TV here in America, we have always used the NTSC format. It is not compatible with the other formats. There are some commercial VCR's that can play any format, but very expensive of course. If it is something important that you need, take it to a TV editing service that can convert it for you.
