Filter must be full of water to start.check that pump is spinning.check that suction tube is submersed & not too long some fish tank filters have a knob on top of the elbow between suction tube and pump housing, turn it back & forth to control flow.give the suction tube a wiggle where it meets pump housing.

What is the boost on my sa.d filter for ?

Most booster pumps are hooked up to the floor jets that periodically blast water in different directions to move dirt around so it can be sucked into the filter. They are never hooked up to a filter, only one pump per filter.

Why has the circulation flow decreased

Your pump pushes "Unfiltered" water thru the Filter. Your filter then "Cleans / Filters" all of the microscopic particles of dirt out of the water. This will eventually clog your filter as the pressure will then obviously climb. Basically, doing the job it was intended to do! As this occurs the water flow will be reduced and at times, dramatically! The fix: clean the cartridges, backwash your sand or D.E. Filter.

Another possibility is the flow is restricted due to another type of clog: Plugged pump impeller, clogged & dirty skimmer or pump baskets, etc.

Or low water level. Sucking air with water.

Return port of the intex pump is sucking in water at the top part of the nozzle

If the debris that is getting pulled in is floating, lower the inlet to about 3 to 6 inches under the surface of the water.

I am contacting you as I am a bit desperate for help. Please advise as to what should be done with regard to the Savio Skimmer Filter SS0000. At around 5pm when feeding the fish, I noted the skimmer...

This means that the filter or leaf basket is blocked. When the pump is off, the water levels will look fine, but when the pump pulls water through, even a partial blockage of the filter or basket limits flow so the level falls and eventually the pump 'sucks air'. Remove and thoroughly clean the leaf basket and filter. Good luck!

The pump is not sucking the water very hard, but

Well the water coming out has to be going in somewhere. Maybe a skimmer or drain. can you close either of these so there is more suction on your hose connection?

We do not know where the air filter valves are

Air filter?

Remove the strainer basket cover ... fill with water ... check the gasket ... replace if questionable ... close the cover and SNUG the top down. Start the pump ... it should run just fine.

If you are sucking air, tighten the strainer basket cover a little.

Still sucking air? You will have to find the air leak. You might plug the leak with plumbers putty.

Yes you are well within your limits on that filter, as long as your not way far away from the pool with small return lines.

Sounds like your hoses are all mixed up on your filter. The filter valve should have labels telling where the hose from the pump to the filter goes, then the filter to the pool.

How do i get leaves out of the pool. I've tried using the vacuum but it clogs the filter. And my filter barley even sucks. whats the problem?

have you tried to run the vacum while backwashing the pool? If it helps suck up the leaves better then only do it a little at a time because you will taking water from the pool to go out on the ground.Just make sure you have a garden hose hand to replace any lost water...Are you using an earth or sand filter?
