Question about Toshiba Tecra 8100 Notebook
Just use an enclosure to access the files copy them to another computer.. format the disk and install a fresh OS to it.

Only way is to buy a parallel port (LPT) dongle designed for password removals, or make your own dongle (schematics free on the internet). I've seen these dongles as cheap as $10 on ebay, but I made my own in about 90 minutes.
After that, it's like ... plug the thing into the parallel port, turn the computer on, and the password will be gone.
