Fuses are designed to protect systems, TD fuses are also termed AS (anti surge) these are designed to absorb the surge from the transformer or other components within the amp.

It is very important to replace the fuse with the same size and type, as this will maintain the systems safety design. Wrong size and type of fuses can cause fires.

Now, it is possible that the circuit board has an ID (indentity print) on it, have a good look with a torch, it may well be marked. If not then contact the maker support team they will be able to help you. have the size (20mm or 1.25inch) ready, the model and serial number of the amp ready when you call anybody for help.

Hope this helps, thanks for using FixYa

How do I test a control (circuit) board?

You really can’t test a control board, but if you have a separate oven board there is a fuse between the two.

Locate your fuse box/panel, there should be a listing of all fuses on teh fuse box cover or in the owners manual. I would visually inspect one fuse at a time pulling out and verifying all are good one by one as well as replacing the master fuse. I hope this helps you.

Hi greg talking. my drl on my 01 gmc has had a problem for some time now. i replaced the bulb sockets due to burn out, yet i still have no lights. i have gone through all the steps in my oweners man.....

chances are you will need to replace the fuse becasue the burnt socket shorted out and blew it but dont just check the one listed as day time running check all fuses it is not uncommon for power to run through other circuts and wiring.

Fused plug

If it is a moulded plug you will need to chop it off and wire on a standard 3 pin plug(if you are qualifiedor capable of doing so ) If its in guarantee though do not do this. There must be a reason it blew the fuse. If in guarantee get it repaired under the terms of the guarantee.

No power on Compaq MP2800 Microportable Projector

I am currently struggling with this issue.
There is an easily-accessed fuse inside the projector.
I was very excited to discover this last night.
However, before you get you're hopes up (as I did) remember: If the fuse blew, something else probably went first. After buying and replacing the fuse today, I realise that I need to replace or repair the power supply as it pops the fuse every time.

Here's how to get to the fuse:
Take off the lamp.
Now, looking at the projector from the back, you need to remove the left hand side panel.
This involves taking out 2 screws from that panel, 2 from the bottom and the 2 video connector hexagonal bolt things that are also in that panel.
The panel sort of hinges off, starting from the bottom.
You will see the fuse in the bottom right corner where the power lead goes.
It is a slow-blow (time delay fuse) so get the exact same one to replace it. A pack of 10 cost me €4.19 in Maplin, Galway, Ireland.

Anyways, this did not do the job for me... the power supply set the fuses off like fireworks and also blew a few in the socket plug as well (I don't think US readers will have those)
I will let you know how I get on with the power unit....

Good luck to ye!
