Try to FORMAT the memory card using your camera. it will solve the problem, o try to use a different memory card with diffrent size, or Higher speed

The memory card was setup for your old camera. Try formatting the memory card using the Nikon camera's Menu settings.

"File contains no image data"

Try a new SD card. SD cards do fail.
The socket inside the camera maybe no good - bad connections.
The camera may have liquid damage - this causes all kinds of weird issues.
I try the cards in my computer reader. If they can be used all day there (I load and unload stuff randomly all day to test and then put the card in a drawer for a few days and check what I loaded later), the fault is likely the camera.

When i try to view my pictures I get a msg that says "file contains o image data". But, I know pictures are there?

you memory card needs a data recovery. The files should all be there if you don't overwrite them and can be retrieved. Try your local camera store.

File contains no image data

If you format, you will lose everything...format means erase and optimize. Take your card to a store like Walmart that has a Kodak picture maker machine. It will usually read all the pics on a card and you can make a cd of them on the machine.
