Estate TAWS900JQ2 will not agitate or spin or drain
The machine fills with water but will not agitate, drain or spin. When I advance the dial the only thing that works is the water coming into the machine. It will do nothing else.
The problem was with the safety switch that prevents the washer from agitating or spinning when the lid is raised. The lever was not being depressed enough to start the machine when the lid was closed. A new plastic piece on the lid solved the problem. The problem was with the safety switch that prevents the washer from agitating or spinning when the lid is raised. Most likely it is your top door safety switch, this switch is enguaged by a small plastic rod on the bottom of the top load door which goes thru a small hole on the top of the barrel shield, which inturn depresses a switch. Make sure that the switch is working propperly.

Your agitator pindle. has come loose From the spline. Try to lift up on the agitator. If it lifts off the spindle easily then it has worn out the spline. That is what connects the agitator to the s
The cycle doesn't advance
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
Scenario 1: Your motor is dead, or the electrical connections leading to it are chewed up and no longer send electricity to the motor. If you have a voltage tester, you should see if you are getting power to it.
Scenario 2: The safety switch that stops the motor from spinning when the lid is open is compromised.. This is possible, but less likely, as the motor would still spin in agitate mode..
If the drain pump is not operating correctly, the cycle will not continue. Also, sometimes the pump has something jammed in it, and may just need to be unclogged.

ON THIS MACHINE WHEN IT AGGITATES MOTOR ROTATES ONE DIRECTION, WHEN IT PUMPS OUT AND SPINS IT ROTATES THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. YOUR MACHINE IS ROTATING THE WRONG DIRECTION WHEN IT FILLS., INDICATING THAT THE TIMER IS SENDING VOLTAGE TO WRONG WIRES. SOLUTION , REPLACE TIMER.
PS: MAKE SURE ALL WIRES ARE PLUGGED IN TO MOTOR. WHILE THIS IS UNLIKELY , I HAVE SEEN THIS BE THE PROBLEM.

Replaced lid switch. varified function of new switch. Same problem
