Your not missing anything, check the pump, they tend to go bad over time and may need replacing. The pump provides the pressure as well as the suction for the whole process, pulling water from the hose or tank and pushing it forcefully through the pressure washer line. If the motor is running and you have the water going through the line and to the pump, and no water is coming out, my guess would be the pump.

Slip joint pliers work well, check screen when removed. Vise grips may be required to remove hose connection.

Engine runs fine. But it quits when I pull the trigger on the wand to start washing

Does this behavior change if the engine is warm and on minimum choke? Do you get any water spray before the engine quits? Carburetor could be dirty or float stuck. Try putting dose of carburetor cleaner through engine and cycle choke lever and engine speed lever back and forth while engine is running after it has warmed up without running water spray. See owners manual.

Water hose won't come off pressure washer

release pressure by squeezing trigger then grab the brass quick connect fitting at the knurled section (at end of hose) and push it toward the pump. when properly pushed back, the hose connector will pop out.

Hi. I think the problem may be called either vapor lock or cavitation, or it could be called something else, but the solution is to take the wand apart in the center and let the trapped water escape, then putting it back together before re-engaging the lever.

Hello:
Best to use NON DETERGENT 10W30. Be sure you fill the reservoir only 1/3 to less than 1/2 full.
