To get the date/time to be on your photos while taking the picture so you don't have to use the software later do this:

When in the mode to take pictures, press the round "Function Set" button and change the recording pixels to "Postcard 1600 X 1200". "Postcard" is the only setting that will allow the time/date stamp to be recorded on the picture.

Then press the "Menu" button and scroll down to "Date Stamp". You can select "Date", "Date & Time" or "Off". You can only do this when your pictures are set to the "Postcard" mode.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the time stamp option is only available when you take pictures in 1600x1200 resolution (or so called post card mode).

Took me 7 years to find this solution. Note there are 2 (1600 x 1200 pixel ) settings. The first is M2 (1600 x 1200), then down the right sequence is a Mountain icon (between S and W). This is the second POSTCARD (1600 X 1200 ) setting for Time and Date stamp activation. It is completely nonsensical why this date stamp only works on that image resolution / setting. Makes one wonder how in the brilliance of technical design in Japan, practical, human thought is sometimes lost in such menus. The same errort appered in my camera SD 700 IS

Hi all, pls hep me to set up the date stamp on my canon ixus 75. i used to have it on my camera. Thank you

The date stamp only works in Postcard mode. Press Func/set, scroll down to the bottom, then across to the mountain with clock icon. "Postcard" will appear in the selection. Press Func/set.

Now press Menu, scroll down to Date Stamp and across to set date or date and time, then press menu again.

Canon Ixus 75: "Date stamp" does not work. I want to have time & date on the photos, but I can not do it. How can I fix this?

Image size (L, M1, M2, M3, S, Postcard) must be set to Postcard. Then make sure that on the Record menu Date Stamp is set to Date or Date/Time.

Hi how can i turn on date stamp on my canon ixus

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

I need to get the date on the actual picture and when I scroll to date stamp it jumps over it and won't let me set it.

In order to turn on the date stamp, the camera needs to be in 'postcard' on the resolution setting. Press the Func/Set button, scroll down to the resolution (L, M1, M2, M3, S, Postcard), then scroll over to the postcard icon and press the Func/Set button again.

HI! THE DATE, TIME STAMP IS ONLY AVAILABLE ON THE CANON SD750 IN THE POST CARD MODE. THIS IS WHY IT WON'T LET YOU CHOSE IT IN OTHER MODES. SORRY, BUT FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON, CANON ONLY SET IT UP FOR THAT SINGLE MODE. IF THIS WAS HELPFUL, PLEASE VOTE! THANKS! IF YOU NEED MORE HELP, REPLY TO: ARCLIGHT1217.
