Obviously it does not work fine. The thermostat sensor or the stat itself could be an issue. Can you see the sensor 'bulb'? Clean it with oven degreaser and steelwool. What is the temp in the oven with a 'oven thermometer'? Is this consistent with the oven readout?

Hey I'm having the same issue. Before paying a repairman thought I'd see if there was a known issue. No replies since first posted. Was this resolved. Was it the thermo. I'm running a cleaning cycle to see if it fixes. Every thing seems to work it just can't get the temperature right.

HI,
You should have 120 to the element when not in bake mode, while in bake mode you should have 220 - 240 volt. Sounds like you lost a relay to send the additional power to the element, or you have a High Limit thermostat which could be open. This is a safety device to protect the unit from over heating, this only goes if temperatures increase higher the safety levels, normally set about 200 degrees or so along the air flow channels. I would trace from the elements to the clock and find the missing source of current.
I hope this helps
Be safe with electricity......

When I press the bake button it doesn't turn on the oven and the temperature display has faded out and is no longer visible.

Most likely your control module/board has failed. You cold be looking at a relay board, which is usually on the back side of the oven, and a control module. cold be a 400-500 dollar repair. still cheaper than a new range.

My oven doesn't bake properly. Everything takes extra long to cook and even when I give it extra time the food usually isn't baked all the way through.

Hi,
If your electric2_bing.gif oven is not heating then you probably have a bad heating element in your oven. This is not that hard to fix yourself...

Probably relay control. I have similar problem.
Best estimate I have had is $300, relay control circuit board, Part #12001689 costs $225.
I am getting a NON Jenn Air. Repair record not so good.

Bake oven element blew

Could be the oven selector switch or the thermostat that failed form thhe element shorting out. You will have to have a ohm meter to check these
