Question about Sony Mavica MVC-CD350 Digital Camera

Open Question

I was having problems with Mavica MVC-CD350 getting disk error C:13:01...I blew air over the open compartment and closed it and it seems ok, but when I take a picture, I have to chose 'record' for each picture. I'm afraid to touch anything,so why do I have to now "record"?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Sony Mavica MVC CD500

anyone having problems with not being able to finalize a disk because of this 13:01 disk error....I finally figured it out. I hit the reset button about three different times and that still didn't help. Finally I took the disk out, turned the camera on, turned the dial to setup and then went to disk finalization and then put the disk in, shut the door and clicked OK to beging the process and IT WORKED!!! Good luck, feel free to email me magnumpie@logantele.com

this is for the Sony Mavica CD500 and I'm using Memorex brand disks. the only place I can find them is on ebay.

SOURCE: mavica mvc-300 disc error c:13:01

I have had similar problem and i think it's a problem with the disc. Make sure the disk is clean and unscratched. Check your other discs, too, to see if they are giving you the same problem. If not, it' is most likely the disc and not the camera.

Mvc fd73 disc error

If this has happened with several floppy disks, then it is likely that the cameras' drive has failed. It is common in the FD73. There are several of that model on eBay right now. You can find them in Cameras and Photo, search fd73. A few are less than 50$, which is less than a replacement drive will cost to replace in your camera.

Disk error with flashing C:13:01

The error message indicates that the issue is with the CD. If it happens with all the CD, please reset the camera and contact the service center.

With a little searching, I was able to find this.

If that link doesnt work, go to this and click MVC-CD350 next to operating instructions.

Hope this helped,

Disc Error

I had a similar problem, I was able to view the images on the camera but could not download them to my computer. I have an external cd drive, HP CD writer plus. This drive does not require me to finalize my CDs in order to download my pictures. With the damaged CD, I used a piece of software called BADCOPY to recovery the files(pictures) on the CD. I was able to recover all but one picture from the damaged CD. (I tried using the cd drive on my pc and the recovery software did not find anything, I had to use the external drive)
