If everything is working on the AC unit and the only problem is that not blowing cold air and instead the air is warm or regular temperature then your problem might be that you need to what is call recharge your unit with refrigerant. this is a common problem that can be solve easy by just adding more refrigerant to the unit

Engine fan stays running all day . it just started ,

What make , model and year vehicle ? You mean cooling fan's for the radiator . Some makers use a module to control the cooling fans others use relays . Looking at a wiring diagrams would show control componets . Relay contacts could be stuck sending constant B+ voltage , keeping fans on , same with a control module .

My cooling fan on my HP Pavilion 23 touch screen desktop has the cooling fan running constantly now? Why would this happen all of a sudden?

It's possible that either the chip it's cooling is running hot. The heat sink inside may be covered with dust preventing the chip from being cooled. It also might be dust on the fins of the fan itself causing the extra noise.

You should have it checked out and cleaned to prevent possible damage and fan failure.

I just had 'goodman gpc1336h41ab' 13.00 seer unit installed , I have a 1250 sq. ft. home and it just doesnt seem to be cooling. The unit runs constantly. So my question is , is my unit big enough...

There are a few variables that determine the size needed to cool your home - the size of your home, type insulation, are just two. I have a 2600 sq ft home - about 1300 sq ft per floor. I choose to cool the entire second floor (bedrooms and baths) and two of the largest rooms on the first floor (kitchen & living room) via flexible ducts from an air handler installed in my attic. My house was built in 1960, and at the time had electric heat. This means it is fully insulated. I replaced all the windows with energy efficient types, and vinyl sided. I installed soffit, ridge and gable vents to keep my attic well ventilated. I can cool my house in Boston, MA to 70 degrees (when it is 85 degrees inside) with a 4 ton unit in a little over an hour with no problem (one ton of cooling is equal to about 12,000 BTUs). Your condenser should not run non-stop. If it is not cooling then it is not a thermostat problem, but could be a gas charge problem. If you haven't paid the contractor in full yet - that may be the reason why. The contractor should know how much cooling you need for the space you have and installed a properly sized unit. Make sure your air filters on the return are clean and replaced regularly. Call the contractor and explain the problem - he should be able to solve it for you very quickly.

The unit runs constantly but is nit removing moisture

Joe, there are 5 basic, but solvable reasons for what you described. Please pay particular attention to numbers 1 & 2.

1. The humidity extraction level is set to HIGH. Lower it to 32-35%.

2. Air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Turn unit OFF, & Unplug the
Unit, before removing to inspect & clean it, if necessary. If washed,
allow filter to completely dry before reinstalling. DO NOT operate
the unit without the filter.

3. Obstructed air flow. Maintain a minimum of 12 to 18" of clear air
space around the entire unit.

4. Cooling coils are dirty and need to be cleaned. Use warm water & dish washing liquid to
clean the coils. Rinse and wipe dry. Apply a light coating of WD40 to the coils.

5. Ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 - 60 degrees.
dehumidifiers do not work well between those temperatures
(Unless, you have a Low Temp Unit). This applies mainly to
where the air temperature at floor level is colder than at shoulder
level
in basement applications. Raising the unit up off the floor,
onto a sturdy table, counter top, etc, that can handle the weight
of the unit, plus a full tank of water, will usually resolve this
problem.

If none of the above solves the problem, it may be a case of the compressor needs to be recharged with refrigerant gas or that the humidity condenser sensor has failed. These things usually occur in units that are 5 years old or older. It's rare in a unit younger than that. But, it can happen.

I hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

The airconitioner will not work in the cooling or the heating mode ,it starts up ok and the compressor cuts in the fan is working ok.

Hope the compressor getting high amphs due to capacitor weak or loose wiring.Check and replace the capacitor. If still your compressor cuts off, the problem is with your compressor. Thanks.

Magic Chef frig model MCBR1000F stopped cooling after 4 years.

You need to make sure the condenser pump and coils are vacuumed twice a year. Heavy dust will overheat the coils causing the freon to be more of a gas then a liquid, thus less coiling.

Check the relay on the compressor. But in order to due this right you are really going to need to have a company replace yor condensing coils and your drain pan. Check also the thermostats. Located under the dials to adjust your temperature settings. You can get some of the parts at repairclinic.com

Subzero model #561, freezer is warm, water leak

Check to see if the freezer fan is running. Push in the two switches at the top. The light should go out and if the freezer is powered on the fan should come on. The icemaker runs on temperature so no cold means no ice. Check for ice build up around the evaporator. Could be a defrost issue or a sealed system problem. As for the water, is it the floor of the unit or the floor of the house? Is the drippan in place or sitting on the floor? Also check the condenser fan motor. If this is all greek to you, you should probably call a factory authorized servicer.
