Question about McCulloch FHH18A Electric Pressure Washer

Open Question

Pump burned out?

I have a McCULLOCH FHH18A pressure washer. Unfortunately I left it plugged in overnight and now it doesn't maintain adequate pressure. I'm thinking that perhaps the pump is burned out. Can this be repaired or is it toast? I can't seem to find a list of repair service dealers for McCulloch either. I bought it from Menard's in Champaign, IL, but they don't carry this brand any more and won't/can't help me. What to do?

I called the number you suggested and found out that the part I required would cost $210, which is more than I could buy a whole new machine for. Thanks for the suggestion, but I think that the repair option is economically inadvisable.

I don't have brand name or serial number because this washer belongs to my granddaughter, will have to get back with you.

SOURCE: Where can I purchase oil rings that go into the

I assume you mean the rubber O rings inside the wand. I had to replace mine as well. I had to visit several plumbing supply stores to find one that fit. I ended up taking the end of the wand with me so I could make sure the O ring fit. The ring you are after is a number 5, but you need to make sure it is thick enough to make a good seal.

SOURCE: I have a McCulloch FHH18A

I would guess there is a leak somewhere inside the unit that is spraying water on some electrical component and causing a ground fault.

McCullock Powerwasher FHH18A - All hooked up, but pump won't turn on. Is there another switch/button somewhere?

look for 2 things. 1. the GFCI button on the plug, you may have to press the 'reset' button to turn it on. 2. there may be a reset button on the motor or the unit somewhere this will usually be round, and often red, but maybe black also. hope this helps

The red light means you are getting power. It sounds like the bypass (unloader ) valve is stuck. This is inside the actual pump

Hello awseibel:
  1. attach your garden hose to the inlet (at the back I believe)
  2. Attach high pressure hose with gun wand/nozzle
  3. turn on the water
  4. plug into electrical outlet
  5. turn on/off switch on
  6. spray away
  7. Any non-caustic soap can be used
  8. You must set the machine on low pressure to apply soap.
