I have an ancient Sharp Carousel Alacard microwave. Part of the door seal has fallen off and broke into pieces when it hit the floor. Can we still get these parts or should I get a new microwave

Ancient is the key here, do you want to keep it sentimentally or build a new relationship with a new , young better model? The seal is essential to keep users safe from radiation....do not use if seal is damaged. Microwave is a klystron type transmitter used in radar. Have repaired and ck for escaping rf energy.if you go that route.I'd go new.

GE Wall Oven - No heat (broil or bake)

On appliances like this only the heating elements use 220 volts. things like the clock, fan, etc use 110 volts. That is why some things work and other do not. Start at the breaker, sometimes a double pole breaker will have 1 side tripped, but will look perfectly fine. switch the breaker all the way to off then re-set. If nothing changes follow the power to the appliance remove the panel and look for some fuses, check to see if any are blown. Also sometimes the microwave will have a separate power source even though its built in to the same appliance. So that's not always a good symptom to follow.

Hi,my belling model 664 wh is tripping out just as it reaches set temp on main oven dial,i have just replaced the main oven element, any solutions I would be grateful. Thank you.

Sounds like the amperage draw of the oven is right at the breaker size. Circuit Breakers should not be loaded more than 80%. Breakers take time to trip when they are close to the limit. IF the problem started with the replacement oven element, it may be the wrong one and could be tripping the breaker by drawing too much power.

Otherwise: Wiring or breaker not sized right, maybe another load on the breaker in addition to the oven, possible bad connections causing extra amperage, or wrong the oven element made for a higher amperage oven. In rare cases the breaker might be bad, but this is not likely.

Someone experienced needs to a) identify the breaker size b) verify the wire connected is appropriated sized c) verify the oven's current requirements and d) look for bad connections.

Normally another load would not be on the oven circuit unless a diy person changed the wiring. With those items verified, a clamp on amp meter would be used to verify actual current draw when the oven is on to ensure the load is appropriate for the breaker, wiring and oven. If at this point the load is less than 80% and the breaker still trips, change the breaker.

Everytime I try to push the sensor for bake, broil, or convection and "off" light up in the clock window and nothing happens. This is a thermador built in oven modelSMW272ZP. Any ideas why it started doing...

Hi, Check fuses on the stove. Check the breaker panel for correct breaker and if breaker has tripped.
Then you will have to ask a technision to look at it further. Good luck

GE Profile JT912 keep tripping circuit breaker

see this steps and fix it. God bless you

. Top element
If the element only works partially or not getting red hot at the "Hi" setting, the problem might be with a burned out receptacle that the element plugs into. If this is the case, replace both the element and the receptacle.

You can usually tell when the element itself burns out. It might have small holes or bubbles on the coil. Replace the element, if found defective.

2. Infinite switch
Another reason, why the element would not start, might be a defective infinite switch (located behind the control panel, with the burner knob on its shaft). Replace the switch if found defective.

I've got an amana gas oven range and just had the ignitor replaced. Everything seemed to work great afterwards for about 2 hours but then the breaker tripped. I let the oven cool down before I reset it...

What you want to check or have checked is if the wiring on the new igniter was accidently not properly insulated and some or the wiring is bare and touching metel shorting the breaker each time the oven is turned on.
