Where can I find a + symbol on the dial face. I have tried to dial international calls with out the plus symbol and it wont connect me

You don't need a + symbol to dial international.

  1. Step 1: Dial International Call Prefix.
  2. Step 2: Dial Country Code.
  3. Step 3: Dial City Code (area code)
  4. Step 4: Dial Local Number. So let's say you are trying to call a local number in Sao Paulo, Brazil from Miami, Florida, USA. ...
  5. 011 55 11 2345678.

I can't seem to call UK numbers from my Telstra 9850 handset.

The '+' is punctuation, just like the '-' in local numbers, and you dial it the same way. In other words, ignore it and just dial the digits.

I have this London No 0044 (0) 7930 71 22 66, how to dial this No please guide me.

Hello, if you are in Britain, you just dial 07930..etc, if you are not in Britain, you dial 0044 (international dialing code for the UK) then 7930..etc (not the first '0' ) The number you are trying to dial is a mobile phone number, by the way. Regards, nicam49

I am trying to dial the UK on my phone but the phone number needs to start with a + sign. I don't know how to do this on my phone.

You don't actually need to dial a plus. The plus notation is often used to write out international numbers, and some telephones do allow for something called plus dialing. To call the UK from the US (which is where I assume you are),you just need to dial the international calling prefix (011), followed by the UK country code (44), and finally the local number you want to reach.

When i dial a local mobile number ,it always put an international dialing code , so the local call becomes an international call. for example if i wanted to dial 07968507055 which is a local uk mobile...

Unfortunately it sounds like a software problem with ur cell phone, if possible try typing the number in, and when it changes it to the international number go back and manually delete what it added.

How to get

You don't dial the plus. It's just there to indicate that what follows is a country code. So, for instance, North America is +1.NPA.NXX.XXXX ... but you don't have to dial +1, you just dial 1.

If you are dialing from North America to somewhere else (e.g. +44, the UK) you generally need to dial something first, like 011 to indicate an international call... I mention this only because it took me a while to figure it out the first time I had to call overseas.

Calling overseas from Australia to UK on a Uniden 9035 handset

Just dial 0011 then the country code. The + is just a quick way of dialing 0011.
Also these can be used from Australia 0011 (Voice calls)
0015 (Fax calls - Telstra)
0018 (Telstra special rates)
0019 (Fax calls - Singtel Optus)

go to full a full list of international codes
