Hi,

Is the drive being detected in BIOS but not windows or does it not show up in either? You do not need a driver for hard drives, so I'm assuming either the drive is faulty or it just hasn't been initialized yet. Reply back and I will assist you with either issue.

You do not need a driver, I suspect the Seagate hard drive may be faulty.
Try conncting your hard drive as a Slave drive in your computer, if the BIOS does not detect the hard drive then the hard drive is faulty.

There is _NO_ need for any additional device-driver -- Windows "natively" supports all disk-drives.

Pay attention to upper & lower case - it is important. Turn on power to the RS232-to-TTL adapter and the hard drive. After a few seconds, Press CTRL+z. You should then see a prompt like this: F3 T> If not, swap TX & RX wires.
