HP Officejet 8500 Wireless All-In-One Control Panel Faceplate Err
My HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-In-One displays the following message when I turn it on (after I select language and country): "Error: Attach Control Panel Faceplate firmly. Check for stuck buttons. Turn power off and on again." Any sugggestions?

>the error says it, what you need to do is check if the faceplate the plastic thing which covers the printer buttons is attached firmly.pry open the side of it rmove the faceplate then attched it back again.

You might need to perform a partial reset to restore the HP All-in-One to proper operation. A partial reset does the following:
Resets the user settings to the factory defaults.
Resets the language and country/region settings on some models.

HP Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a) All-in-One Printer
This model has a two-line display.
Unplug the power cord from the HP All-in-One.
Wait for 20 seconds.
Press and hold # and 3 while plugging in the power cord to the HP All-in-One.
Release the buttons after the HP All-in-One starts up.
HP Officejet Pro 8500 Premier (A909n) and 8500 Wireless (A909g) All-in-One Printers
These models have a touch-screen display.
Touch the Setup () icon.
Scroll to and touch Tools.
Scroll to and touch Restore Factory Defaults. A Defaults Restored message displays.
Press the Cancel button to return to the main menu.

Follow these steps in the order presented to resolve the issue. Step one: Perform a semifull reset
1. Press the Power button to turn off the HP product. 2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. 3. Unplug the power cord from the back of the HP product. 4. Wait for 20 seconds. 5. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet. 6. Press and hold # and 6 while plugging the power cord back into the HP product. 7. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product. 8. Follow the instructions that display on the HP product to select the settings.
1. On the product control panel display, touch the Setup icon, and then touch Tools . 2. Touch Clean Printhead .
If these steps resolved the issue , there is no need to continue troubleshooting.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, Call HP support since your printer is in warranty as you said its only 7 months you purchased the printer

Please press the set up menu on th eprinter which is like a tool(wrench)-----Arrow keys-----TOOLS-----OK-----Arrow Keys------Clear Fax Log------OK.
This will clear the fax log.
If still the issue persists, please follow the below steps. 1. Touch the Setup icon. 2. Scroll to and touch Tools. 3. Scroll to and touch Restore Factory Defaults. A Defaults Restored message displays. 4. Press the Cancel button to return to the main menu.
And then, again cleasr the fax log by following the below steps. Please press the set up menu on th eprinter which is like a tool(wrench)-----Arrow keys-----TOOLS-----OK-----Arrow Keys------Clear Fax Log------OK. This will fix the issue.
