It sounds that the Closed Caption function [CC}, is not set to ON. Set it OFF. Push the button marked {CC} at the remote control once to get rid of it. If there is no CC button on the remote control, you have to enter its service mode option to deselect it. If you wish to get more details about how to enter, adjust and exit the service mode, check the site linked here. The picture on my t.v when i turn on my ps3 goes black and white with a section of it at the top gone a fuzzy green colour. how do i get rid of this and put colour back on the screen

First of all hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds. YOu should hear a couple of beeps. That is resetting the video to the ps3. Power it back up. If you have it hooked up through hdmi try the other av cordes it came with. ALso try unpluging and plugging back in the av cords. If that does not work then I dont know.

How to get rid of a black screen on my tv. sound is ok

If you mean that you get a black box, with a little of the picture visible around the edges, then your closed captions are on and set to TEXT. This puts a black box on the screen about 10 seconds after changing the channel. Go into the menu and turn off the closed captions and the picture will be back to normal.
