First of all check out is the battery old or new. if its old then this problems happens. so replace the battery. but if the battery is new. then check out is it properly charged or not. if not charged then this problem happens. charge the battery properly and then try.if the battery is new and also properly charged still the same problem then. remove the battery from the camera. wait for 2 minutes. then press the ON button and then insert the battery and then check out.if still the same problem then.keep the camera ON and then press the eject button randomly 10 to 15 times non-stop.then check out.if still the same problem then. keep the camera ON and pat the sides of the camera with your hand on its sides. also hold the camera tightly and wiggle/shake it then try to eject the tape.if still the same problem. then it’s the problem of internal gear assembly inside the unit. the gears which moves the tape IN/OUT are worn out and due to this when you press the eject button some noise comes but the gears are completely worn out so its not ejecting the tape. if the gears are worn out then the gear assembly can be replaced by a local electronics repair center who deals in camera repairing.the cost can be near to $15 for gears assembly plus the service charge of the store mechanic. in many cases it has been noticed that due to some dust/rust the door tray which ejects the tape gets jammed/blocked so inserting a thin knife in the sides of the door tray and pressing the eject button releases the tape also trying to pull the tray back slightly helps in removing the tape. but if the door tray is hardly jammed then don’t force as it can crack/break the camera components internally and lead to major damage inside.

The camera's firmware has sensed a jam or too slow rotation in the cassette's take-up roller. Really difficult to overcome. The tape may already be snarled round a roller, but is certainly in the "loaded" tape path. I've had this and had to disassemble the whole tape transport mechanism - which is really difficult - after trying unsuccessfully to drive the unload motor from an external 6v power supply. Sometimes a really hard sideways bang on the camera can free up the roller enough to let it rotate a bit, satisfy the motion sensor and allow an eject.

Cannot get tape to eject

It could be a couple of different issues. These things could help.
(1) Power OFF the camera, remove battery then replace the battery, power up the cam and try to eject tape again. Nothing? try...
(2) Gently press inward on the tape cover with both thumbs a few times. Then, while pressing gently inward with one hand, press the release/eject-tape function until you hear a click or release sound. Then, if it doesn't open automatically, gently "help" open the hatch.

If it remains stuck, after follwing these steps a few times it would be my guess that perhaps the camera has been dropped in a way that jammed the mechanism controlling the eject function.

TIPS that may prevent having eject problems: When loading tape, be sure to insert the tape correctly and slowly, makeing sure the tape is placed properly. Gently press on the specific location indicated to close the tape holder, and wait for the tape to "seat" properly before closing any other part of the tape cover or hatch mechanism. Taking a few extra seconds when loading the tape can save extended frustration later.

Panasonic NV-DS65 won't eject a tape

It sounds that what's happened is your idler wheel is slipping or even your main drive belt.
When you loaded the tape it was taken by tape guides around the video drum. When you pressed eject the tape guides returned to their proper places but the tape stayedin a loop around the mechanism because the take up spool had no drive to pull the tape back into the cassette. When you've tried to pull the cassette out of the camera that loop of tape has snagged on part of the mechanism and that's what is stopping the cassette from being removed. I'm afraid the tape would be damaged at that spot so you may as well simply snip it with a pair of long bladed scissors and the cassette will pull straight out.
What is then required is either the drive belt changed or the idler wheel assembly changed. Either way a service center will be required unless yourself or a friend is able to buy the parts (not expensive) and do the work required.

Good luck

Canon ZR70 MC Mini Digital Video Camcorder...Not ejecting

Typically, the problems of this sort tend to be one of a mechanical nature; In other words, the case may be bent, causing this problem. Does the machine make a "motor noise" as the well opens? And then makes a "binding noise" before coming to rest? This would be a definite cause for your dillema, and a camera shop visit would be in order, unless you have some mechanical aptitude....accordiaman

Tape jam

First try to press the power button and the eject button at the same time. If that dosent work its advised to take it to a repair person as taking apart a unit like this can cause more problems then you have now. Lets just hope that its not to late and that the camcorder dosent have those pana caps that always goes bad. Good Luck
