Question about HP Photosmart 2610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Card stock won't feed

I can't seem to find any setting to change the pressure applied when trying to use card stock for printing. It was never a problem w/ my Epson printers of the past, but this HP2610 jams every single time. Maybe it worked at one time (I wasn't concerned if it worked); but now it doesn't work at all on card stock. Any suggestions?

Thank you

HI,

SOLUTION:

  1. Perform a semi-full reset on the all-in-one by following the steps below
  1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the all-in-one.
  3. Wait 30 seconds, and plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  4. Press and hold the # and 6 buttons on the numeric keypad.
  5. While still holding the buttons, plug the power cord back in to the all-in-one. Continue to hold the buttons for two seconds, and then release them.
  6. Allow the all-in-one to re-initialize. This may take a minute or two.
  7. If prompts appear in the all-in-one display to set the front panel language and country settings, perform the steps to set this information.
  8. Insert the card back into the appropriate slot.
  9. If it does not begin to print a proof sheet automatically, press the Proof Sheet button and follow the normal process for your model to print a proof sheet.
  10. Once the proof sheet begins to print, press Cancel to stop the proof sheet from printing.
  11. Use the On button to turn the power off and then back on again.
The problem should be corrected. If the problem still exists, service your product.
Thanks

After a stuck document in the printer (HP Photosmat all in one C309 series, it doesn't seem to recongize we have cleared the jam and it will now ONLY print if we use the sheet feeder.

This may not help everyone that I send it to, but it is worth a try.
I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press
the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer.
The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud
