Question about Nespresso Aeroccino Automatic Milk Frother

4 Answers

On/off problems Frequently when I press the on/off button, the light merely flashes and does not stay on or the frother froth. Sometimes it takes 20 or 30 attempts to get the frother to operate. Usually I just give up. Is this a recognised problem or should I have it replaced? Michael

Mine worked for three months but no longer. With only one button to play with, there aren't many ways to troubleshoot the issue. Not sure where to send it for repair?

Same problem - called Nespresso customer service and was told not to store it on the base with the base plugged in - by doing this there is always power to the unit and the motor burns out. They sent a new one 2-day air and I've been following their suggestion - no problems so far. Was impressed with their customer service.

Had the same problem. I tried this:
1. left the aeroccino on its base (plugged in) constantly.
2. poured milk into aeroccino while on base, do not start, wait for at least 20 - 30 secs for the thermostat to adapt.
3. in the meantime work on brewing the coffee.
4. again, wait for at least 20 - 30 secs, then press the aeroccino button.

I have followed this for a week now and it always works, no early switching off anymore.

hope this helped

This may or may not help your problem. I found that rinsing the aerocinno out with cold water after each use ensures the next lot of cold milk is heated to the correct temp. If I don't do this it cuts out too early. If you are heating cold water and then putting in milk it definitely won't work as the thermostat will be at too high a temp and will cut out.

Found out if you just leave it for 30 seconds after turning the power on but before activating it works fine.

Aeroccino frother won't turn back on after we get some froth and still more milk in container.. takes a long time to be able to activate again.. using Almond milk could be the problem any suggeest

My Nespresso Aeroccino often would not heat or froth multiple times after one use. I called Nespresso, they have excellent customer service, and was told to rise the inside (careful not to get the outside button or electric elements wet) of the Aeroccino with cold water a few times and to retry. Works like a charm!
The customer service is the best I have encountered in a long while, give them a call, it will make your day they are so pleasant and helpful!

What does a blue light mean on my aerochino? thanks.

Means you are not heating your milk, the frothing milk will be cold (for iced drinks) because you have held the button down longer than normal. Usually it takes 5 Seconds for the blue light to go on. try turning it on or pushing the button faster, It should turn on red, for heated and frothed milk.

My Nespresso milk frother did not come with instructions. Is there some way to froth but not heat the milk?

they make one that has the option of frothing milk hot or cold. Blue light is cold. Red light is hot. The red light will always heat the milk. To get to the blue light, you need to hit the button twice.( First will go to red)
