Hi, the printer has rubber rollers which pulls the paper in during printing, it seems like one side of the intake pully does not have enough presure or the rubber has hardned or worn out, hence it is slipping off, check that area , let me know.

hi, is the paper shifting or the printing is slanting towards left,???? let know

  • Anonymous Dec 17, 2007

Ok, First try and grease up the cartridge carriage shaft, the one on which the carriage goes left and right, in most of the cases this is a root cause.. let me know

wd40 is for switch cleaning, u need some lubricant/greese, anyways..second step...you can see a transperent plastic strip running in the carriage rear on top, use a tissue and clean it up on both sides,, let me know..

I connected to my HP DeskJet 820Cse via my home network. It showed the printer is connected and selected but won't print. I am using Windows 7 64-bit. What's wrong?

The 820 is a really old piece of kit and i am very surprised that windows 7 has found a driver for it. I I suspect that it has used a generic driver as hp never produced a W7 driver let alone a 64 bit one. I dont think you will ever get it to work.

Srri but have been working on printers for over 20 years so take my advice and dont try and cure the incureable!!

My printer will not do color it comes out purple

Try Cleaning the Cartridges manually and automatically.
For the cartridge clean it with a damp lint free cloth and also for the printheads wher eyour gonna be inserting the cartridges.
Follow these steps do do the automatic aligning and cleaning:
Click Start and then go to Printers and Faxes (XP), Printers(Vista), Devices and Printers(Win 7)
1. Right Click on your printer Icon 2. Go to Printing Preferences 3. Click the Features Tab 4. At the bottom of the window you will see Printer Services or Device Services. Click on it. 5. Choose Align Printheads on the list.

For Cleaning the Printheads, Instead of choosing Align Printer choose Clean Printheads.
I hope this helped.
Try Printing Again. I hope I was able to solve your problem. :)

New Dell Inspiron connected to HP 820Cse printer. Won't print.

I've not worked with one of these cables before, but here's what I would do: Right-click on the printer icon and go to properties. You'll be looking for the tab that says "ports." Open that tab and see what port the computer thinks it's using for the printer. Chances it says it's using a parallel port, but it is in fact, using a USB port. I can't tell you which to choose without looking at what you see, but I think you might find one that makes reference to a USB port with a parallel connection of some type. Try clicking on that and see if your situation improves.

HP DeskJet 820Cse

That's because the driver doesn't tell you the ink is low. The software does. The software doesn't come with the os just the driver. Do you have a cd for Win XP? I'll get you the link to download the software just in case.

HP Deskjet 6122 alignment issues

Have you set your paper size in the printer and adobe or whatever you use to A4, it sounds like you have A5 set as default print size. Apologies if this is not the case but it won't be the first time a printer has changed settings.
