The site has multiple servers, perhaps 50 or whatever.
You account is apparently on one of the serves that is being serviced.
The site administrator should not let that happen.

Try this trick:
(This only works under certain conditions)
After you log onto hubby's account, note (or copy) the address that is in your Internet browser (Explorer?) .... and log out of the account.
Now put the entire address back in, but put your account name/number in place of the former. It may take you to a different server.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I presume you're trying to avoid logging out of facebook so he can log in.

If that is the case, you probably don't want to create a separate Windows account either because then you'd have to switch users on Windows for him to use his Windows account. And that is at least as much trouble as logging out of facebook.

Perhaps the easiest thing to do is install another browser. You could install Firefox of Chrome for free. Your husband could use facebook in Firefox and you could use facebook in IE. That would allow you both to be logged in a the same time.

Facebook login problems: Account Unavilible?

Hi,

Site Maintenance message usually means that Facebook is making an improvement to the database and after the maintenance is over, you will be able to login to your account without any problem.

Usually, this maintenance process takes just a few hours and affects only few users at a time.

If the "maintenance error" lasts longer than 24 hours and you are still unable to login to your account, kindly report the issue to Facebook Support by clicking this link.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Clean you cookies and internet cache. Press this key combination, Ctrl+Shift+Delete, this will bring up your history options and other options to clean your browser. Choose all that apply. Refresh your Facebook page and it may work. Other than that, it is an issue with Facebook.

I haven't been able to log in for about 5 days now. The error message says that this is due to "site maintenance" which would only take a few hours. Facebook says they are working on the problem, but...

Facebook has finally posted something about everyone not being able to log it. It only took them 5-6 days!! I have not been able to log in since 10/4/09) But this is what was on my page when I tried to log in this morning (10/9/09). It's about time that they let us know something. So, who know how much longer we will have to wait!

"Sorry, due to site maintenance, your account is unavailable at this time. We are currently experiencing an extended site maintenance issue that is preventing some users from accessing their accounts or Pages they may administer. Rest assured that your account has not been deleted or compromised. Your original account will be restored as soon as possible so there is no need to create a new one. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you've encountered while attempting to log in to Facebook during this time.

You can stay updated with the progress of this bug by visiting the Help Center."

Log in meaning your account? If so restart the laptop, tap the "f8" key. and on the options displayed choose "safe mode", once you get to the log on screen select administrator log in and do a system restore to a date where everything worked fine.
