Anybody have anything else on this? Mine is doing the same thing. I keep it plugged in and, instead of a strong steady red light showing it is not powered up, the light is weak and blinking slowly. Looks like it's dying. I feel so bad. Help?

in a situation like this, there are only a few things you can do.
unplug the unit and wait for an hour or 2, and plug it back up and see what happens. if the unit is making any unusual noises (listen carefuly to it) then it will more than likely need to be repaired.
depending on the price, you might just consider going and picking up a cheap dvd player from wal-mart or something.
