I am looking for a user manual for an old (purchased about 1997)Duracraft Heat Furnace Plus [Model CZ-1200, 1500W, Air Heater]. I hope you can point me in the right direction. If not a manual, then, basic instructions for setup, use, and maintenance. Also hoping to find parts list.

The manufacturing date is in the serial #. The first character will be a letter. The second character is the year code. It will either be a number or letter. If it is a number then it is pre 1990. 0=1980, 1=1981, etc, until 1989. If it is a letter, X=1990, A=1991 B=92 C=93 D=94 E=95 F=96 G=97 H=98. J=99 K=2000 L=01 M=02 P=03 R=04 S=05 T=06 U=07 If the first 3 characters are letters then the 3rd letter is the year code. The first two digits after the year code are always the week of the year of manufacture. Example CD12345 D = 1994 12= 12th week of year Hope this helps. I have no info on any codes prior to 1980. I am not sure about the manual, but if it is still available you can probably get it through Whirlpool or Sears but you may have to call their #800's to order it. They don't list everything on the websites.
