Auto/On set to ON. Fan runs.

Sounds like the thermostat, the way to verify is to unplug indoor unit, remove thermostat, take pic of wiring with phone or label the wires as to the terminals. Carefully twist the yellow,(Y) Red (R) and the green (G) together. Plug the furnace back in, if the unit operates normally, replace the thermostat. I am basing this on the fact that the blower speed is changing. This could also be an anomaly within the circuit board in the furnace section, not likely though as the outside unit (condenser) is not controlled n by the indoor board unless this is a heat pump. hope this helps. Compressor comes on for about a minute then kicks off. Wait a few minutes kicks on for a minutes then kicks off.

If the fan is running pull it out of the case and clean the outdoor coil use a soap like 409 let it soak then hose it off, use a much water force as not to damage the fins, keep the water a way from everthing else and you should be cooling again. The outdoor coils get very dirty and then the water off the evap. drains there and then the fan throws in into the coil and makes a mud, no heat rejection.

My GE portable a/c will cool when I first turn it on. The compressor kicks on and it cools fine, but after it runs a few minutes it kicks off and never cools again. The fan just runs. It does not appear...

I would say that if it starts cooling when it's turned on, then it has freon in it. Sounds more like it's kicking off on high head pressure, meaning the condenser is not getting cooled, head pressure builds up then a safety limit switch shuts it down to save the compressor from burning out.. Is there a condenser fan maybe not operating? or are the condenser coils clogged up with dirt?

Air conditioning system takes a charge, but the

high pressure switch is kicking out on overload, replace it or you might have too much freon

Rooftop RV Air Conditioner: temp outside 90 or above. compressor kicks off ....

It sounds like maybe an overload for the compressor is tripping and resetting once the compressor cools. Possibly due to a low charge.

Fan motor will not come on

That thing connected to the capacitor is a booster for the compressor .But if the outside fan doesn't work , the compressor will shutt off on overload because the high pressure in the condenser coil.
First try to replace the capacitor in the condensing unit (it's the only one that works for the compressor and the fan motor) ,but if the fan doesn't start, you need to replace the fan motor.

RV A/C blower not working and keeps kicking out

If blower not working, and yoou hear a slight "Hum" with fan only on, try this. With power off to AC. Go up on roof, and slide a stick through opening on side near rear, and try to get to fan blades at rear of unit. try to spin the blades a few times, even if it only goes a little at a time. Unless you want to take all those screws out & remove cover to get at it better, but watch for wasps under there. Give fan a couple of full rotations, then have someone turn it on to fan only & see what happens. If fan finally works, let it run for a few minutes on fan, then try cool & see if it all comes together again. Let me know.

Kenmore a/c window unit fan not kicking on with compressor.

Likely a bad motor, when this occurs verify the board is sending voltage to the motor.
