Hi,
It should be spring loaded. Just push the card in and it should pop out.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Where do i stick my sd with adapter on my dell inspiron 1545

Most portable SD stick readers come with a USB connection so you just stick it into any spare USB port (see USB adaptor pic).
If you have an SD to SD adaptor that fits a small SD card into a larger SD card holder (see SD adaptor pic) then you also need one of the SD stick readers (above)

Laptop wont read sd card

You do not say, but before ejecting an SD card you should use the Safely remove hardware feature. If you do not do so you may damage your SD card, and you run into problems such as you describe.

Where is the sd card slot located

The SD card slot is located in the front of the laptop, when closed, on the left side of the front on the keyboard (BASE) section, there is writing that states, SD.

Here is where you can get the quick start guide that helps with all the hardware ports and layout of the laptop. Under documents.
