Hi,

If you did a restore and the problem still persist, then i'll advice that you run a thorough antivirus check. If this does not fix the problem then go ahead and format.

This should fix errors.

Kind Regards

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Use a USB mouse for the meantime and try doing a system restore to a date when it was working fine before How to perform system restore (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGXbMyFaROw)

If system restore did not resolve the issue then try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver for your touchpad.

You can go to toshiba website and download their latest touchpad drivers for your a215-s7437.

Help about my acer laptop touchpad,,,most of the time it didnt function,,,i dont know whats the problem,,my laptop is only 3 mants,,from the date i bougtht it,,,

Intermittent problem needs to analyze whether it is hardware or software? Hardware is contact resistance, must reinsert connector. Software is registry sequence, you can do a system restore back to a date which the touchpad works perfectly.

I have a dell insipron 1545, the mouse keys below the touchpad have stopped working in normal mode but will work in safe mode. I have Windows Vista

It seems to be a conflict with Touchpad drivers. For once, you can try a System Restore to resolve this issue. Else, you need to install the Dell touchpad drivers and application from the Dell support website to resolve this. You can download the drivers from the link after you select the correct Operating system version: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INSPIRON1545&os=WLH&osl=en&catid=&impid=. Save the file on desktop and right click on it, to Run as Administrator. Install the drivers and reboot your system. Now your Touchpad should work normally even in safemode.

Touchpad and buttons won't click on Sony Vaio

Hi,
it could be caused because of hardware failure or software failure, in case of hard ware failure it would be best to call sony tech support but in case of software issue , if you remember the day it was working fine,
do a system restore to the date it was working fine, which will reset your software configuration to the date you know it was working ok, so if it was caused by software issue it will be resolved, but any programs that you installed after the restore date will be lost

to do system restore
reboot your system when you see the sony logo start tapping the F8 key and you will come to a menu here select safe mode and boot and then
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts select the bold date your system was working fine and continue as it guides,

If you think the information i gave you was helpfull please do rate me
Regards

Touchpad Not Working

If you has been installed the right drivers, it is hardware problem.

Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 - Touchpad and USB mouse not working

Do a system restore to a point date when your pad and mouse where working. If this does not work go to the manufacturers website and download the drivers for your notebooks keypad on another pc. Load them on a thumb drive and install them. You can limp navigate with the tab key. If restoring to an earlier date and reloading the drivers does not help back up all your critical files and reload your entire operating system. If it still does not work there is a hardware problem, but I highly doubt it. I hope this gets you going. If you need more help feel free to contact me.
