Mold in vicks cool mist vaporizer

Hi, I was wondering what can I use (if anthing at all) to clean mold from inside my cool mist humidifier.
Note* I am worried about using a cleaner with a chemical that will then mix in with the vapors and form in the air surrounding my daughter as she sleeps.

if you can take it out side and plug it in, put some bleach in it and let it run for a few minutes. then wash it out and run the rest of it out.
