Flip the mouse over there is a plastic cover below the track ball which if you push towards the ball itself will reveal the batteries.

There is a AA battery located under the rear top cover. It's the part that has the Logitech logo on it. You simply press the button underneath the mouse at the back that has a lock symbol on it and lift off the cover, there is the battery.

hello ,on the bottom of your mouse there is a cover that you remove thats were the 2 aa batteries go. the cover has the wireless info on it you'll see a spot were you can use your finger nail to pop the cover off then after installing your batteries just pop it back on.
