Hi,

The Canon A75 only supports CF (compact flash cards). There is no SD card slot which explains why you can't find it.

How do I unlock memory card on canon power shot a495?

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

How much for memory card canonpowershot a75

That depends on the size and speed of the card(s) you choose. The A75 uses CompactFlash Type 1 cards. You don't really need a fast card.

Unlocking memory card canon powershot sx120

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

I just purchased a Powershot A1100 and cannot figure out how to load pictures onto the Memory card. Thanks

Are you trying to load pictures onto the card using a computer? It doesn't work that way. Format the card in the camera and have fun with your new camera.

LOST CAMERA DESK

You don't need any installation disks with xp spk3, just plug usb cable to a usb port on pc, xp will detect mass storage device and will assign drive letter. Go to my computer and open camera drive letter and copy pictures to local folders. Or you can remove SD card and read with SD card reader. I want to download from Canon A75 to my PC; but the original software (and canon cable) are long gone. Can I simply download from the net??? or is much more complicated than that?? Any help is...

There exists a good, if not better alternative way to download your photos. Please see this blog article, as it describes the use of an inexpensive card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos. In fact there are several important reasons discussed in the article for using a card reader vice downloading from the camera. USB Card readers are also very inexpensive these day, with cost virtually not an issue. Just make sure that you purchase one that is stated capable of reading the CF card of your camera (some can only read SD cards).

No memory card.

I have the same problem with my Canon G9. I have found a solution and since doing it the problem has only happened once again. Here is the solution: I have a 32mb sd card that was given with the camera when I bought it. This card has different connectors than the ones that are used on the usual SD cards. As soon as this card is inserted the camera works properly and all other cards work fine after. I'm assuming that the sd card circuit blocks and this 32mb card unblocks it somehow... Hope this will help you.

Card Lock, when the card is not locked.

Solution,
Wrap the Camera with the purchese receipt, and bring it to the store you bought it from. They will send it back to Canon to be fixed. Hopefully it happened within a year from the purchesing date, so you will be fully covered by the manufacure warranty.

Good luck.
