If turning off for 20 seconds doesn't fix it look closely at the spokes and letters on the daisy wheel for bent or broken spokes or letters. replace daisy wheel if bent or broken about $35.00.

I can't correct my password and get into my computer--

keyboard layout is as follows.

TOP ROW: QWERTYUIOP
MIDDLE ROW: ASDFGHJKL
BOTTOM ROW:ZXCVBNM

If you're saying you just can't see the keyboard keys, that should help. If it doesn't, I suggest getting a hold of a USB keyboard other than the malfunctioning one you have now.

IBM Wheelwriter 6-Letters striking paper above

Put in a multi part form and type if the carbons come out OK the the ribbon isn't lifting, Wiggle the big black gear on the R. side of the carrier back and forth. They do get tooth for tooth when they get old. If the print on the copies id bad or not there you need a print solenoid cap. We sell them for 20,00 including instructiond and shipping.

You need a new fontwheel, the " marks are from the naked hammer hitting the ribbon with no font wheel installed.
