Question about Televison & Video
After getting clarification from Fixya I can pass the links below to you to check yourself
Chances are the model is not Argos but may have been produced by a different manufacturer. You may have to solve that small riddle first !
Some players are harder than others to do this but you may want to try here or here
Toshiba's and JVC's are the harder ones to do
I use a Phillips myself as it is not only cheaper but has much more going for it than many of the higher end units. i throw anything at it and it just plays
The older the unit that harder it is to do the region free thing with.
I let my EX have the panasonic (big grin)
If you cant find a fix then look at the codes available for cheaper brands and how easy it is to do it before you purchase one.
Just a thought

If you are looking for a region code hack for this model? There is currently not one available.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I think I had the same problem, I went into setup and it was set to SCART, but I'm using the red, white and yellow leads, so I changed to the option at the top of the menu and it now works fine.
Still can't find the unlock codes though !!!!

Yours is a rebadged Mikomi model. Whilst it's possible to access the technical page which shows the region code, you cannot actually change it without a special servicing remote control.
Unfortunately, for a cheap no-name brand like Mikomi it's actually cheaper to just buy another DVD player which can be hacked without any special equipment. Service remotes are very expensive to buy and if you can find a company which rents them out the typical charge costs as much as your DVD player cost to buy.
Sorry, but not all DVD players can realistically be made multi-region and yours is one of them.
