Re: the film freezes in place and has to be started over
Check your dvd's for smudges, scratches, etc. Does it do this for all dvd's or just a few? Clean all of your dvd's with a soft cloth moving from the center out to the edge. You can get dvd cleaning kits relatively cheap at places like BestBuy. If that does not fix the problem, then it could be either the laser eye in the player is dirty or it is starting to fail. Another possible problem could be its software needs to be updated...you can contact Sony here: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=BDPS300
to download software updates for the player and you can contact Sony Service as well to further isolate the problem. I hope this helps, not much else I can do from online.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones). click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Good luck!

Crime cinema, in the broadest sense, is a cinematic genre inspired by and analogous to the crime fiction literary genre. Crime films always are mostly detective and will involve some missing storyline. Crime films always create great suspense elements in their stories and that is why I like watching such films.Films of this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and its detection. Stylistically, the genre may overlap and combine with many other genres, such as drama or gangster film, but also include comedy, and, in turn is divided into many sub-genres, such as mystery, suspense or noir. I watch such films from the Movies Online site and here I get a list of all films related to this category. So if you want to watch some crime films this could be the ideal place to visit!.
Thriller film, also known as suspense film or suspense thriller, is a broad film genre that invokes excitement and suspense in the audience. I and my friends just love watching thriller films. The suspense element, found in most films' plots, is particularly exploited by the filmmaker in this genre. Tension is created by delaying what the audience sees as inevitable and is built through situations that are menacing or where escape seems impossible. Most of the times we prefer watching suspense films from the Free Movies Online. They provide all kinds of movies and its all free of cost. So whenever we get time, we keep watching movies from their site.
Sounds like the lens slider gets stuck halfway along it's track, worn out or dust buildup, either way, not the sort of thing you can attempt.
Try a music CD to see if it will read that all the way.
If you still have warranty then take it back but I suspect it may have reached it's time if it's an older one. The motors that run the slider are tiny and have to run tiny worm gears which wear out too, It's called "built-in obsolescence".
I've bought expensive ones that failed a month after warranty ran out !
Yet the one I have now was bought for £27 (same in $ & Euros now) and it's still going great after over 2 years.
You did not state whether this is happening via PC, laptop, you tube, kodi box, etc so I have given you a broad set of advice. If, as I suspect, you are either string from a kodi type box or online service, the most likely answer to your problem will be one of the following:
low bandwidth from internet provider or router settings. (Speak with provider support to improve this, although some providers do this deliberately at certain times of the day) the solution to this is to watch the movie at a lower setting; 720p, HQ setting etc. Watch at a less busy time of the day.
The server you are watching the HD movie from is busy or lacks the band width to stream multiple connections at a time. (More likely just busy especially with popular films)
Solution; watch at lover quality setting or try another server address or connection if posible.
If this happens just on HD then it is likely to be one of the above but if it happens on any streamed movie at lower quality settings too, you may have to think about checking router cables and connection integrity.
Unless you have good / fast access to the Internet (or wireless or 4G network), it may take a long time to download a movie to your device. If the speed of download is slower than the speed of the play, the picture freezes ... essentially, it is waiting for the completion of the download for the next few frames (of the movie). That is why the picture freeze .... and it will start again after sufficient data has been download to continue / start playing (the movie) again.
A few things to consider:
-Loading: Make sure you are not over loading the film before you start to shoot. I have sometimes turned the film advance too many times and end up cutting down on the amount of usable film.
-Are you loading the film in a dark area and careful to close up the back just after it has started to load to avoid exposing it?
-Shooting: Are you metering properly when shooting? Obviously underexposed images won't develop. You should consider a hand held meter.
-Shooting: Are you advancing the film more than it needs to be after you take your shot? Watch the film counter and feel for that click as it hits the next frame. I have advanced past the next shot many times by accident.
Hope that helps,
remove the battary and the film, the clean the contcts of the bat and bat comparment, and put the battary then operate camera without film.finding it normally operating for 10-20 clicks, put the film and try
The first suggestion I would make is to make sure your pulling the film leader out far enough, and the film canister is sitting in place properly. If this doesn't work I would examine the sprocket holes in the film leader and make sure they are not ripped if they are you should pull the film out until they are no longer ripped and then try loading the film again. I hope this helps.
hrm, i found out how to solve the issue. remove the film and do a calibration for the frame, now the scanner starts to calibrate, after a 30sec the program told me to put the film in and scan.
