Speakers are rated either at RMS (root mean square) average power or Peak Power. An RMS of about 125 watt is equivalent to 250 watt peak. To match the radio and speakers they both need to be consistent. Also do not be confused with total radio power out vs per channel.
So if the speakers are 250 watt peak power then a radio with 125 watt per channel or 250 watt peak per channel would be a good match.
If the speakers are RMS 250 watt then the radio would be 250 RMS/channel and usually with a four channel radio a total of 1000W RMS
With that much power the neighbors should hear you coming!
You can't bridge that amp onto a load lower than 4 ohms. So you can't bridge that amp onto two 4 ohm subs. To get the most power out of your subs is easy. Run one channel to one sub and the other channel to the other sub. 165 watts RMS is plenty for most subs.
crack the windows and drop the sony bull **** and get your self a nice mono block class d amp 1000 rms should be loud enough btw bild your stereo based on rms power not max power rms is the true power you got so like 2 500 watt rms 12s on a 1000 watt rms amp or just a 1000 watt woofer it will be jsut as loud as the 2 12s

if you have 2 12s just bridge them and you will have 650wrms at 2ohm running to them or one sub at 4 ohm 500w rms ps they should pump iam running 2 12s with just 360rms at 2ohm and they do the job good luck

your Volfenhag 12" subs are rated at 1200 watts they are only 600 watts rms and the Rockford punch p4004 is only 200 watts rms so the answer is yes it will work but if you get a amplifier that pushes out 500 - 600 watts rms you will love the sound from subs
there is nothing wrong with the Rockford amp it just wont pound out the bass as hard but the good news is you will never blow the subs with it
when buying amps or subs make sure to look at rms rating that is the true power they actually have ie. (sub box says 1200 watt you think powerful but if you divide it in 1/2 you actually get 600 watts rms) don't get me wrong that's a nice rating. for a sub but you will want to match that number with the amps rms rating or lower. The RMS is what makes the car pound the higher the RMS the better
