Hayter problems

if it has the green trigger you pull up to move height adjuster it is common that they snap or the roll pin comes out. simply take out the 2 cross head scews from the handle and remove handle, the trigger will then be free to remove, there will be a compression spring on the trigger dont loose it!!!! the triggers are quite cheap and can be bought online at ebay etc, just slide trigger back into handle bot forgetting to reit spring. refit handle to chassis and refit the 2 screws

Porter Cable FN250c wont shoot with every trigger pull. sometimes it shoots correctly (10% of the time), other times it just pops (no nail) and other times it shoots two nails at once. Also when it...

Worn trigger and or worn firing valve. Remove the trigger and look for wear on contact surfaces (worn pin that holds trigger, worn inner lever inside trigger, worn or loose firing pin in valve ). Easy test for worn trigger. Remove the nails, remove trigger, fire the gun against wood with finger to test for proper action. If it works better without trigger, consider replacing trigger with new (I would also order the oring repair kit that includes the firing valve )

How do I sight-in(zero-in) my handgun(S&W Sigma Series 40 cal.) Factory issue sights, aiming center mass hitting target bottom left.

The problem with this is, the Sigma comes with Fixed Rear Sites. Non Adjustable.

I also have a good buddy of mine that was in the Police Academy who bought that gun for his duty weapon and was having the same problems you are. Hitting Way Low.

Now, another side to this problem Ive heard of is that the Sigma Series has a really heavy trigger pull. And a lot of shooters (More than 20) have come together with the fact that due to the heavy pull, it causes you to pull the muzzle downward as you squeeze the trigger...without even knowing it. Causing you to hit low.

If this is the case, I would take a guess that if you are a left handed shooter, you have too much finger on the trigger causing you to pull left...mixed with the heavy trigger pull, forcing downward. Or a Right handed shooter with the correct amount of finger on the trigger, but such a heavy pull, your pushing to the left. Just another thought for ya.

But from what my research has led me to find, there is no option yet for adjustable rear sites.

Here is a LINK to a website discussing the heavy Trigger Pull causing dropped Bullet Impacts. Read what they say and it might help ya. If you change some things, let me know. Id be interested to hear if it changes your POI. (Point of Impact)

Hope This Helps!

2004 Mercury Monterey tail gate handle came completely off. The left side's guide is in place, but the right side is retracted - hence can't just put it back in. Any ideas?

Open tail gate. Use the access square inside - pull cable to open tail gate. Remove interier panel - 2 bolts plus 2 screws (2 bolts on handle and 1 screw each side), pull remainder out of guide clips. Now have full access to locking mechanism. Identified a retaining spring had come loose sending guides to shift left (exterior point of view). Place hand in tail gate and move guides over and put spring in place to retain. verify it works and put back together. Handle is the trickiest part as the bolts have to go through the interior panel and afix to the metal tail gate.

Trigger problems

I have repaird hundreds of nail guns with a problem similar to yours. Depending on the brand and model, the problem can be repaired by checking the following. Headvalve orings should be checked for wear and any surface that the orings contact must be smooth and free from scratches. If the surfaces are scratched try to smooth with fine sandpaper and use light grease instead of oil when assembling. The safety contact foot may not be reaching high enough into the trigger to properly push in the trigger button. Check for worn spots on the trigger that may be filled in with epoxy, loose fitting trigger caused by worn roll pin or retaining pin. Some of the trigger valves as used on many bostitch nailers (tva6 valve) used a plastic pin which contacts the trigger. If this pin is loose or worn the valve should be replaced. Some tva6 valves have a vinyl looking sort of oring that fits too loose on the spool. This vinyl oring in not available by itself but if the oring fits too loose the gun will not fire and leak air. On bostitch remove the trigger and the rollpins holding the trigger valve and apply air to gun to eject valve. (use heavy glove to catch valve as it will come out with force)

Leaking from left wheel when applying trigger onmodel 7901

Sounds like a problem with the left spray nozzle, may be out of place. Either that or a line is loose and leaking. Either way you will have to pull the top housing off to check it over.
