- No in fact the problem is wider.. If I power up the drive from cold, I can feel the drive spinning up and the fan blowing, but the blue rings and the led of the lan slot do not light up.. If I follow the factory reset procedure, I manage to get the blue circle lit up but the lan does not light up either.. The lan cables are good and work with other devices.. The blue light is steady..but even when i scan the network with a mac address scanner, i see no wb anyway.. I'm afraid the boot partition is screwed up and I have 300Gb important data stuck into it..

- In fact it seems that it was the lan interface which was out of order (no green led lit). I dismatled the unit, got the drive out on a PC and recovered everything with r-studio in moments.. Won't buy one of thoses again.. too low MTBF..
